Comments: I first got involved with Excelsior-Henderson back in early 1998. I work for SuperFlow Corporation, a manufacturer of computerized engine and vehicle test equipment. Anyway, I got a call from Brad Maus, an E-H engineer, who was interested in purchasing a motorcycle chassis dynamometer for R&D. I flew to Minneapolis and drove to Belle Plaine in February 1998 to make a sales pitch and tour the factory. While there, I saw a few prototypes and met Dave Hanlon. In March 1998, E-H bought the dynamometer. About a year later, my dad, Nick Trumbo, started with the company as a District Manager. I had stock in the company and was hoping that everything would work out. I wanted to buy a bike but just couldn't afford one. A couple of years later, after the company was finally out of business, we bought the domain name superxowners.com and started this site. I was able to purchase a used Excelsior-Henderson Super X in May 2002 from a dealer in Washington state. I had it shipped to me and it arrived about 2 weeks after I bought it.
