Positive Battery Cable Routing

Service Bulletin Number: s99-06, June 19, 1999

Serial Range: All

Symptom: Loss of battery power; engine may die periodically as the bike travels over bumps in the road.

Correction: The positive cable is drawn out of the electrical area to make connecting the battery easier. Once the battery is connected, excess cable must be routed back into the electrical box enclosure, in front of the back wheel. If the cable is not routed properly, the rear wheel swing cage may contact it and separate the cable from the connector.
