Starter Solenoid Sticks

Starter won't shut off? Here's what to do:

1) Turn the ignition switch to "on". Let the bike start. According to Dr. Dave Danielson, this won't hurt the starter due to its internal design. Remove the positive cable from the starter (this is faster and allows enough time to remove the battery cover).

2) Removing the battery cable from the starter will disconnect it from the system. This should reset it. Turn the bike off, and reconnect the positive cable to the starter. Try starting again. The problem should be cleared up.
